New Arrival: Tamdhu Batch Strength 008 Joins the Prestigious Award-Winning Series

Launching today, Batch Strength 008 is a non-chill filtered, 55.8% ABV expression that embodies the brand’s unwavering dedication to exceptional whisky.

Adhering to their time-honoured traditions, this expression is matured exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry seasoned casks from the bodegas of Jerez, Spain. The eighth edition in this series pushes the boundaries of perfection, with each cask meticulously hand-selected, including a high proportion of first-fill sherry casks to create an exceptional Speyside whisky.

The rarity of this wood imparts Batch Strength 008 with a gorgeous copper glow and a magnificent taste. On the nose, dark, nutty layers of Spanish oak make way for the enticing scent of creamy vanilla and melting honeycomb. The first sip transports drinkers to a summer orchard, where sharp berries dance alongside sweet, candied lemon peel. The experience is completed with the long and elegant Tamdhu signature sherry oak finish, with hints of figs lingering on the palate.

Sandy McIntyre, Tamdhu Distillery Manager, said: "Batch Strength No. 008 encapsulates our unwavering commitment to crafting exclusively sherry-matured whisky, presenting a captivating deep natural copper hue and a complex flavour profile. With each Oloroso sherry cask carefully hand-selected, this expression delivers an exquisite and nuanced flavour, leaving a memorable and gratifying finish that embodies the essence of Speyside."

With a rich heritage from 1897, Tamdhu has built a legacy dedicated to the finest award-winning sherry-matured whisky.

The Batch Strength series has seen success at various prestigious spirits competitions, including last year's release, Batch Strength 007, attaining the Gold Award at the annual San Francisco Wine & Spirits Competition.

Batch Strength 008 is now available at specialist retailers globally and directly from www.tamdhu.com at RRP £87.00.
